  • Numida finances businesses that have daily sales and expenses, such as:

    • Retail/wholesale shops

    • Salons

    • Clinics

    • Spare parts businesses

    • And more!

    📌 It must be a running business with proof of operations. We do not finance startup ideas.

  • You’ll need:

    • A smartphone

    • A phone number registered in your name (as on your ID)

    • A photo of your National ID/passport/driver’s permit

    • A business signpost (if available)

    • Photos of your business, including stock and inventory

    • A photo of you at your business premises

    • Proof of your permanent business location

    • Receipts or invoices (for follow-up loans)

    • A valid trading license or proof of business ownership

  • Your first loan ranges from 5,000 KSH to 100,000 KSH depending on your business.
    As you borrow and repay on time, your limit can grow to 150,000 KSH or even 300,000 KSH over time!

  • We are currently offering 30-day loans.

  • The first loan interest is 25% for one month, based on your credit profile.
    Your rate may decrease as you continue to borrow and repay on time.

    • Record your daily sales, expenses, and purchases in the app

    • Make partial payments when you can

    • Repay your loan on time
      Doing this shows your business is active and trustworthy, helping you qualify for more.

  • You can repay through the Numida App using M-PESA.
    Steps:

    1. Load the amount on your registered mobile number

    2. Open the Numida App → Tap Repay

    3. Follow the prompts

    Or pay via M-PESA directly:

    1. Go to Mpesa

    2. Select Lipa na Mpesa

    3. Choose Pay Bill

    4. Enter Business number: 4101277

    5. Enter Account: your phone number used in the app

    6. Enter the Amount

    7. Enter your PIN to confirm
      ✅ You’ll receive a confirmation message

  • In the app:

    • Go to the Home page

    • Tap ‘Pay Loan’

    • Then tap ‘Loan History’ to view your payments

    📌 If your payment is missing, contact your credit officer with your payment confirmation.

  • Late repayments attract daily penalty fees, starting the day after your due date.
    To reduce your balance, make partial payments and contact your loan officer to create a repayment plan.

    4. Enter Business number 4101277

    5. Enter account (client's phone number - used to apply for the loan)

    6. Enter Amount

    7. Enter Mpesa PIN to approve

    8. You will receive a confirmation message

  • In the app, go to the Home page and select “PAY LOAN”. Under this section you will find “LOAN HISTORY” showing the previous payments of your current, outstanding loan.

    If you have made a payment that is not showing up, please reach out to your loan officer with your payment details.

  • Please note that there are late penalty fees on the outstanding balance if you are unable to clear your loan on time. This is why we encourage clients to make a partial payment to reduce the balance.

    Penalty fees start being charged the next day after the loan is due and every day there is an outstanding balance.

    If you are unable to pay back your loan on time, please communicate with your credit officer as soon as possible so that we can work with you on a payment plan.

  • In the Numida App, your loan status may show as:

    • Submitted – Application complete

    • Verifying – Received and under verification

    • Reviewing – Loan officer will contact you

    • Approved – Loan approved

    • Dismissal – Application declined (with reason)

    • Open the app → Tap Refresh on the Home page

    • Tap ‘Apply for Loan’

    • Fill in your details – we’ll contact you shortly

  • To edit details:

    • Tap MoreSettingsAccount

    • Make changes and tap Save Account

    To resubmit photos:

    1. Go to Home Page

    2. Tap Update

    3. Tap inside each photo prompt and take new, clear photos
      📸 All photos must be taken live in the app – no gallery uploads!

  • On the Home screen, tap the Update button (top right).
    If it fails, check your internet and try again.
    This helps you get the latest loan info instantly.

    • Ensure your line is active and has signal

    • Make sure the SIM card is in the phone you’re using

    • Check if your message inbox has space

    • Re-enter your number correctly

  • Please:

    1. Uninstall and reinstall the app

    2. Enter correct details when registering again.

  • No. Only new photos taken within the app are accepted to confirm your business is real and active.
    You must be at your business premises when taking photos.

  • You need to be at your actual business location to take valid photos.
    Please wait until you’re on-site to complete your application.

  • Unfortunately, Numida only finances businesses that are already operating for at least 6 months.
    Once your business is running, we’ll be happy to support you!

  • The Numida App is currently only available for Android devices.
    We’ll let you know when iOS is supported.
    In the meantime, please try applying from an Android phone.
